2014 Dean’s Award for Excellence in Postgraduate Research for Suwan Meng

Congratulations to Suwan Meng, who is the overall winner of the 2014 Dean’s Award for Excellence in Postgraduate Research. Suwan presented her research, ‘Superhydrophobic membranes for membrane distillation‘, at the awards ceremony on October 21st. The award was established in 2005 to recognise outstanding research in engineering and applied sciences. The $3000 prize money will be used to support travel expenses to local and/or international conferences.

This is Suwan’s fourth presentation prize in the past year, previously receiving awards at the 8th International Membrane Science & Technology Conference (IMSTEC 2013), 10th International Congress on Membranes and Membrane Processes (ICOM 2014) and the NSW Joint Chemical Engineering Committee (JCEC) Postgraduate Symposium.
