Research Project

Research Project Title: Inorganic fillers incorporating nanocomposite membrane for CO2 gas separation

In this research, nanofillers incorporating nanocomposite membrane is proposed as a new kind of membrane that can be used in gas separation process. We aim to develop method to prepare nanocomposite membrane that combine inorganic material in nanometre size and suitable polymer to form a very thin layer of separating layer on the top of a porous substrate. The nanocomposite membrane from this research is expected to give very low hydraulic resistance for gas transport across the membrane and also combines the thermal and mechanical stability of inorganic material and easy processibility of polymer material.
