Want to join an Engineering Project or Society and not sure which one? Have you got a great engineering-based idea or a clever concept that you’d like to make a reality? Well, don’t miss this Projects and Pitch Fair.

This exciting event is hosted at the MCIC in partnership with EngSoc and UNSW Engineering and is open to all UNSW students who are interested in joining an Engineering Student-led Project or society. The evening is broken into two sections:

 

Meet and hear from the Engineering Student-led Projects

Time: 4-6pm

Hear from student groups like sUNSWift, Redback Racing, Engineering World Health, Engineers without Borders, Women in Engineering Society and EngSoc.

This is for students who want to broaden their engineering and team management skills outside the classroom, receive AHEGS accreditation, make lifelong friends and get a vital leg up with their careers.

Pitch your idea

Time: 6pm-8pm

This is your time to get up and pitch your own idea. We are looking for students who have a concept for new Engineering Student-led Project or even just a cool idea that the MCIC can help you make a reality.

This event is catered and free to attend – please register to make sure we have enough catering for you!

Pitch for a new Student-led Activity idea

  • 1st prize - $1000 in materials to kick start a new engineering project
  • Judges Choice - $250 for most innovative. $250 for most functional 
  • People's Choice Prize - $200

Best pitch for current Student-led Activities prizes (prize money is for your Student-led Activity, not the individual pitching) 

  •  1st prize - $700
  •  2nd prize - $300
  •  Judges Choice - two prizes valued at $250 each
