UNSW Kensington Campus

The Asian Engineering Deans' Summit (AEDS) is an annual conference where Asian Engineering Deans gather to deliberate on important trends and issues influencing Engineering education and research.

In 2017, UNSW will be hosting over 150 delegates comprising of Engineering Deans and high profile Engineering academics from various countries in Asia and Oceania.

UNSW, as the official host of AEDS will provide an invaluable opportunity for several experts to deliver keynote speeches, and for engineering deans and scholars to network, and to share their views and experiences.

The conference theme will be ‘Enginuity – Engineers as Creators’, a play on the world ‘ingenuity’. Increasingly the best engineering embraces broad creativity and cannot rely on just the technology – think of the smartphone, visualisation of biomedical imaging data and Sentosa Island in Singapore.

The AEDS aims to bring and cement Asia at the forefront of international engineering education with the world’s most innovative, technically proficient and entrepreneurial graduates.

The conference has been scheduled to coincide with Vivid Sydney, an iconic light festival which will provide delegates an amazing example of what engineering and visual art can do when brought together.
